Welcome

You are welcomed to the Covenant Family, the children of God who walk in His covenant by faith and enjoy the fullness of His love.

We believe God has sent you here for a purpose. So you are not here by accident but by divine appointment.  We express genuine love of Christ Jesus and are always willing to help people fulfill God’s purpose for bringing them to this family of God. We are excited to share this information with you to help you know more and be able to easily identify areas of service.

Covenant Assembly is:

A place to walk in covenant with God –   A life time of walking with God in total obedience is what guarantees our eternity with Him. Covenant Assembly is a place of empowerment to help us walk in covenant with God.

A place for true worship – worshipping the Lord God is one of the primary reasons why Covenant Family comes together.  We come together in the atmosphere of love, grace and faith to truly worship in Spirit and in truth such as the Father seeks. (John 4:23). We believe that when worship goes up, the hand of God comes down to bless His people. And to lift them up.

A place of Service – Our service to God goes beyond the four walls of the church building. We are saved to serve. Our greatness in the kingdom is a function of our service to God and to humanity (Matthew 20:27). We believe that we have responsibility of meeting the spiritual and physical needs of many, as much as we can.  You will have opportunity to serve within and outside the church.

A place of friendship and fellowship – We express genuine godly love towards one another as Christ commanded. By the expression of the love of God we are identified as disciples of Jesus Christ. We cultivate godly habit of sustainable relationship both with God and with man.

A place of empowerment – We believe that this is a training ground for success and fulfilling destiny.  At Covenant Assembly, God prepares His people for His kingdom. We are prepare to excel in every good work. We believe the word of God works and it has creative power to fulfil God’s purposes. So we receive the raw words of God for empowerment for success in all areas of our lives. 

Our Roots

Covenant Assembly is a mission of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) , present in more than ninety two nations. We are a bible-believing church where holiness and with the following vision and mission:

• To make heaven.
• To take as many people with us.
• To have a member of RCCG in every family of all nations.
• To accomplish No. 1 above, holiness will be our lifestyle.
• To accomplish No. 2 and 3 above, we will plant churches within five minutes walking distance in every city and town of developing countries and within five minutes driving distance in every city and town of developed countries.

We will pursue these objectives until every Nation in the world is reached for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Currently, the RCCG headquarter is located in Lagos, Nigerian and headed by the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.

Vision and Mission

In addition to the general mission and vision of the RCCG, the vision of Covenant Assembly, Avondale, is to be the light of the world by taking the message of love of Jesus Christ to the ends of the world.

Our mission is to build the body of Christ; feed the world, and raise generations of men and women who will sufficiently be the light of the world. We are to prepare men and women to walk in covenant with God by obedience to His word and by faith . We are to reach out to people of all background and empower them to walk by the word of God. We are to help people to realize their purposes and to provide resources that will help them to fulfill their destiny. We are to take the church out of the four walls, such that when people are seeking God, they will not go too far before finding Him in us.
